LATVIA BUSINESS VISA

• Passport
• Visa application form with one recent photo ( 3.5 O5) on white background.
• Invitation letter approved by The Office of Citizienship and Migration Affairs at the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Latvia no later than 6 months prior to the application date.
• Travel medical insurance policy valid for the whole Schengen area and covering the entire period of the foreigner’s intended visit in the Schengen, minimum coverage of 30,000 EUR.
• Air ticket booking record.
• Proof of accommodation.
• Family book.
• ID card.

• Proof of solvency:
• Bank statements from the last 3 months, not deposits account

+ confirmation of position after the return.

+ the person or the entity who will bear the applicant’s travel and living costs.

+ the full address and contacts of the company.

+ purpose and duration of the visit.

+ detailed program.

+ whether the sponsor gives financial guaranty for the applicant’s return to Vietnam

• proof of registration from a Chamber of Commerce, if applicable
• work permit (if applicable): a work permit may be needed in the following cases:

– Proof of accommodation: For the whole duration of the intended stay. Travel programme: documents providing clear evidences about the applicant’s travel programme (transportation booking, itinerary, etc.)

–  Proof of financial means ( translate to English): Original bank statement and document of bank transactions for the last 6 months.

–  Letter from the employment: Stating the applicant’s name, position, guarantee of  leave for the duration of the trip as well as salary. The certificate has to include address, telephone and fax number and the seal of the company or school .

*Minors (under 18 years of age):

– student card and original letter of the school, mentioning:

– full address, telephone number of the school

– permission for absence

– name and function of the person giving the permission.

– notary certificate of family relation or proof of guardianship, legalised by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs.

– when the minor is travelling alone or only with one parent: notary certificate of permission to travel from both parents or legal guardians, legalised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and when not in China, attested by the relevant authorities in the parents’/legal guardians’ country of residence.

*For employees:

4.2. Travellers with British passports endorsed ‘British Nationals (Overseas)';

4.3. Travellers with British passports endorsed:

– ‘British Overseas Territories Citizen’ that contain the label ‘right of residence’ issued by Great Britain; or

‘British Subject’, which also contain the label ‘right of residence’ issued by Great Britain;

4.4. Citizens of People’s Republic of China provided they have passports issued by Hong Kong (A Special Administrative Region of China) and by Macao (A Special Administrative Region of China);

4.5. Travellers with a ‘Laissez-Passer’ issued by the European Commission;

4.6. Travellers with a ‘Laissez-Passer’ issued by the United Nations;

4.7. Travellers with travel documents and residence permits issued by a European Union member country, except for the Republic of Ireland and Great Britain, to recognized refugees and people without nationality or citizenship.

4.8. Travellers with travel documents known as ‘Titre de Voyage’ issued by Iceland or Norway to refugees according to the Geneva Convention of 1951.

5. Foreign residents of Latvia with temporary or permanent residence permits.
6. Travellers, regardless of nationality, with a ‘family member’ residence permit issued by a European Union member country to a family member who is a citizen of a European Economic Area member country or a citizen of Switzerland provided they are travelling with or travelling to join the citizen of the European Economic Area member country or the citizen of Switzerland.
7. Travellers, regardless of nationality, with residence permits issued by Monaco or by one of the Schengen States.
8. Travellers, regardless of nationality, residing in Lichtenstein for no more than five days and holding proof of their residence provided they are in transit through the Schengen Area and are continuing their trip to a country outside the Schengen Area apart from the means of transport.
